We May Learn What the Future Holds for Bethesda Next Month – Push Square1 min read

Will future Bethesda games still release on PlayStation platforms? We understand that existing contracts for Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo will be honoured, while service-based video games like The Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76 will continue to be supported– however what about beyond that? Its been a bigger will they, will not they than Donna and Ringo, with Microsoft offering blended messages because announcing its acquisition of the organisation.
All may finally be cleared up next month– at least, thats according to Games Beat scribe turned market prophet, Jeff Grubb. Speaking as part of a podcast, the crystal ball gazer hinted that the Team in Green may be preparing some type of “event” to tidy up its strategies for the publisher: “I do not understand if it will be a complete, Direct-style event, but they will make note about it and they will discuss [the Bethesda acquisition] extensively, discuss what it suggests for everyone, and talk about the immediate future of both companies turning into one.”
According to Grubb, this is all set up to unfold in “mid-March”, and is set to represent a cornerstone of Microsofts marketing efforts this year. It makes good sense, as the Redmond giants $7.5 billion buyout of Bethesda is plotted to clear next month, which will provide it control of the liberty and the publisher to talk more explicitly about its long-lasting and short-term strategies.
