The Last of Us Part 2 gets free PS5 update, adds 60 fps support – Polygon1 min read

The Last of Us Part 2s PS5 performance spot is totally free. Meyer called the update “just the first step of dealing with the PS5.”

The Last of United States Part 2 was launched on PlayStation 4 in June 2020, and is playable on PS5 through backwards compatibility. Naughty Dog released a significant upgrade for the game in August, adding a new Grounded trouble mode and permadeath options.

Naughty Dogs newest update for The Last of Us Part 2 boosts the video games performance on PlayStation 5. Spot 1.08 for the video game, launched Wednesday, will let PS5 owners pick a frame rate target of either 30 frames per second or 60 fps, Naughty Dog said on the PlayStation Blog.
” This enables you to choose your favored framerate to complement the rest of the improvements that belong to the PS5 backward compatibility with PS4 games, such as a boosted resolution, faster load times, and more,” Naughty Dog director of interactions Arne Meyer described.
