As an outcome, it feels like a game and not a treadmill created to transport you to a store.Star Trek Legends involves a large cast of characters, both great and bad, from different Star Trek reveals. They look nice, however eventually Im just desiring to kill the baddies and move on.G/ O Media might get a commissionWhat truly raises Star Trek Legends, the reason Im writing up this blog site, is because the entire game is complimentary from MTX or paid currencies. And with energy meters, it rapidly becomes tough to actually play the game unless you pay money. In Legends, however, you can simply … play the video game. Plus the video game is a beautiful looking event of Star Trek, both brand-new and old.

But without any energy meters or annoying microtransactions. As an outcome, it feels like a video game and not a treadmill designed to ferry you to a store.Star Trek Legends involves a large cast of characters, both good and bad, from various Star Trek reveals. How are they all hanging out and fighting each other? The Nexus, that huge energy ribbon thing from Generations, is back and Starfleet has a special new ship created to enter it. Its a little lightweight, hand-wavey method to establish the video games narrative, however it works. And once you are in the Nexus, engaging with other characters, the video game takes terrific benefit of this setup. If you like Star Trek, which you probably do if you read this far into this post, there are lots of jokes and referrals that will make you go “Oh yeah … I know that.” None of the stories in Legends are masterpieces, but they tend to have some well composed little bits of discussion with characters connecting with each other in fun and authentic ways.Screenshot: CBS/ Paramount/ KotakuThe gameplay is relatively bog standard for this type of game. You have a small team of characters, each with their own abilities and abilities. You take that team into objectives, which are comprised of combat segments, short cutscenes and even some moments where you need to choose what to do next. Fight is once again, nothing brand-new or incredibly fresh, but it works. You attack enemies, taking turns back and forth up until one team is left standing. Thankfully, you can accelerate the animations throughout battle. They look nice, but ultimately Im simply wanting to kill the baddies and move on.G/ O Media may get a commissionWhat actually elevates Star Trek Legends, the factor Im writing this blog, is because the whole game is devoid of MTX or paid currencies. There is no other way to spend money in this video game. There are also no ads. This is basic for Apple Arcade releases, but it truly makes this kind of game so much more enjoyable to play. I still play Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, but every month it seems like some new thing has actually been added that is designed to make me grind of months or pony up a lot of money. And with energy meters, it rapidly ends up being hard to actually play the video game unless you pay money. Or wait. In Legends, however, you can simply … play the video game. Unlocking characters is fun, not an expensive chore. Completeing objectives is interesting, not a grind.Screenshot: CBS/ Paramount/ KotakuI cant discuss enough how unusual it is, after years of playing these type of mobile RPGs, to just be complimentary to play it as much as I desire. Its good. Plus the game is a beautiful looking event of Star Trek, both brand-new and old. Its a video game developed particularly for me. It makes me pleased. Yes, I know. Its on Apple Arcade. And yes, I understand that indicates you or some folks you understand cant play it. Which draws! I think Star Trek Legends is excellent enough that I d like to see it warp over to other platforms. Just if it keeps out the mobile RPG bullshit. Associated Stories
