The first qualifier in the 2021 Capcom Pro Tour season just wrapped up and as had been promised by Capcom, we got a trailer at our next fighter right after it.
Of course we already know quite well that said fighter is Rose, who releases tomorrow, and while we’ve already gotten lots of footage of her, this trailer does a great job at showcasing everything Rose has and brings with her in a concise fashion.
In the trailer, we get a fantastic look at Rose herself, her different V-Skills, V-Triggers, V-Shift and V-Reversal, her new remixed song, the remake of her classic stage as well as a nice combo showcase to demonstrate what Soul Power is capable of in the right hands.
As the defensive character she’s traditionally been, Rose seems like a natural fit for the current Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition meta which seems to have shifted considerably with the recent balance changes and the introduction of the new mechanic V-Shift, leading to a game which likely rewards zoning and keepaway more than it has in the past.
Rose will be out for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition tomorrow, April 19th, as the second character of the game’s fifth and final season of content with Oro, Rival Schools guest character Akira Kazama and a currently unknown final character following her later this year.
