If this voice chat feature ever does see the light of day, chances are itll roll out under Reddits “power-ups” banner, an initiative the company launched last year to experiment with new subscription-based features specific to individual subreddits. TLDR: Reddit pressed out the feature with little forewarning and seemingly no believed about small amounts, as subreddit mods could not opt-out of chats or control them.
