E3 2021 will happen June 12th-15th this year as a free, “reimagined, all-virtual” event, the Entertainment Software Association announced today. Organizers revealed that the lineup includes business such as Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, and Warner Bros. Games. Sony is notably missing out on from that list up until now.
E3, gamings most significant yearly conference in North America, typically takes place in downtown LA every June and brings in a mix of designers, press, and consumers. Last years occasion was canceled in April due to COVID-19. In its absence, Geoff Keighley introduced Summer Game Fest in partnership with numerous designers to deliver game exposes and news; the digital occasion is also returning this June.
E3 is anticipated to resume personally next summertime.
ESA president and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis states the company is “evolving this years E3 into a more inclusive event” that will still consist of video game reveals and news. The organization validated in February that it would hold an online event only this year.
