The Izanagis Burden is already among the weirdest-looking Exotics in Destiny 2. Its a sniper rifle that looks like a cross between an iud and a sword. With Season of the Chosen, Bungie added an Exotic accessory that turns Izanagis Burden into Clouds Strifes infamous Buster Sword from Final Fantasy 7– or at least something comparable.
Bungie has done some ridiculous things like this in the past. Weve gotten emotes that let Guardians fuse like Dragon Ball Z, and a mini Sparrow that looks more like a Scooty Puff Jr. from Futurama than a Guardians area motorcycle. But the Buster Sword Izanagis Burden (called the Worldshaper Ornament) had me cry-laughing the first time I saw it.
In the image above, you can see the barrel changed with a dark grey broadsword. The scope sits just above a chain linking the blade to the hilt, which completely matches Final Fantasys unique zipper/chain fashion. It does not quite have the Buster Swords box-cutter shape, however the chain makes the accessory a pretty clear tribute in my opinion.

The Izanagis Burden is a powerful sniper that lets Guardians smoosh four bullets into one subdued very bullet. Its commonly utilized in a few of Destiny 2s hardest activities. Now Guardians can equip the new Buster Sword skin to make this already strange gun even weirder.
It rules, and its simultaneously one of the funniest and coolest Exotic accessories Bungies ever made for a weapon. Its possible Bungie might offer the accessory for the games freemium currency, Bright Dust, later on in the season.
