Apple has actually axed its initial HomePod and will turn its attention to the smaller sized variation of its clever home assistant, the HomePod Mini, the company said Friday. ” We are terminating the original HomePod, it will continue to be offered while products last through the Apple Online Store, Apple Retail Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers,” Apple said in a declaration. “We are focusing our efforts on HomePod mini.” Read more: Apple HomePod Mini features you should understand about: Every pointer and trick weve foundApple will continue providing existing HomePods with software application updates and support through Apple Care, the business said.The HomePod Mini was released in November last year, costing $ 99 in contrast with the $300 HomePod original. When it was released in 2018, CNET reviewer Megan Wollerton applauded its “stellar” noise but said it didnt provide as numerous features as completing speakers powered by Amazons Alexa and Googles Assistant. “If you and everyone else you deal with has an Apple device and youre offered on having an Apple smart home, the HomePod deserves a close look,” she wrote at the time.
